Christopher Cokinos is the author of a new poetry collection, The Underneath, and is working on a book about the moon. His book Hope Is the Thing with Feathers: A Personal Chronicle of Vanished Birds was followed by The Fallen Sky: An Intimate History of Shooting Stars .and by Bodies, of the Holocene. With Eric Magrane, he co-edited The Sonoran Desert: A Literary Field Guide . and with Julie Swarstad-Johnson, the forthcoming Beyond Earth’s Edge: The Poetry of Spaceflight . While he works at the University of Arizona, he considers northern Utah his home.
