Dougald Hine & Elizabeth Slade

Dougald and Elizabeth got to know each other through working on Issue 12: SANCTUM, a special issue of Dark Mountain focused on the theme of the sacred. Dougald was one of the book's editors, while Elizabeth's essay, 'The God-Shape Hole', featured in this issue.

Elizabeth accidentally became an expert in spiritual for the non-religious, following an earlier career improving the way that health systems work.

Dougald is co-founder of the Dark Mountain Project and the author, with Paul Kingsnorth, of Uncivilisation: The Dark Mountain Manifesto.
