James Mcconachie was born in Birmingham, UK At 20 he dropped out of university to become a New-age traveller, something he describes as a priceless education in resourcefulness, humility and adaptability. He now lives in remote rural Aragón in north-eastern Spain, where he works as project manager in restoration architecture and sustainable building. His writing focuses on language – both human and animal – and Spain’s rich biodiversity.
