Song of Water
James McGowan
27th May, 2019
James McGowan tells the story of what happened when Native Nations attempted to use the laws protecting religious freedom to challenge the destruction of sacred landscapes across the United States.
James McGowan worked with the United Nations for a decade to help build the world's largest environmental grant-making organisation. He then chose to refocus on raising a family, restoring his local watershed, and writing. His worldview has been shaped by friendships with Thomas Berry, Vine Deloria, and traditional people from several of the Native Nations. His satirical look at parenting, "The Baby Wrestler", is available at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/150328445X. You can follow his struggles with and against the digital world on Twitter: @jamsmcgowan.
