Book Club for Issue 22: ARK

Online discussion with readers of Dark Mountain – April 11th 7-9 pm BST

A chance to get on board with Dark Mountain’s ARK

In December last year we piloted an online book club for Issue 21 , an opportunity for our readers to gather and discuss themes of the book, that ranged from freedom to kinship with creatures. This spring we plan to host the next book club for our recent autumn Issue 22: ARK   on Tuesday 11th April, 7- 9pm BST on Zoom.

The vibrant all-colour pages of ARK were created in collaboration with the Wilderness Art Collective and one of the main topics we will be discussing will be the role of the artist and artwork in responding to the Earth in crisis, alongside writing that reveals the beauty, resilience and strength found in being fully alive in a troubled time.

It is preferable to have a copy or to have read Dark Mountain: Issue 22 before the session but if you’d like to attend this book club for ARK, there are six pieces published on our website to take part in the conversations.

The session will be hosted by Ava Osbiston and ARK editor Philip Webb Gregg. If you’d like to join us you can book your tickets from our Eventbrite.

Deadline for purchasing your place is 5pm on Friday 7th April
