Launch of Dark Mountain: Issue 19

Do join us for the online launch of our new spring journal

Our online launch held on 16th April is now available as a recording. See video below

We invite you to attend the unwrapping of our ‘requiem’ issue, as it emerges, like a moth from its cocoon. this spring.

Our latest book has been created as a memorial by 60+ artists and writers, a gathering of testimonies from people and places, griefwalkers and haunted lands. Ringed by the ashes of the burned forests of Australia and the Americas, its covers hold the honoured bones of dead creatures, reconfigured ceremonial staffs, the keening of poets, ancestral doorways, fallen feathers of the gyrfalcon, the wren and the black grouse, wreathed by leaves of roseroot from Greenland and milkweed seeds from Ontario, the sharp scent of Mexican marigolds that light our way to the Underworld.

Our key question in these unravelling times: how can we face and properly lament what we have lost? How is the act of mourning requisite to the world’s regeneration?

To celebrate Dark Mountain 19’s release, we invite you to join us for an online launch on Friday 16th April starting at 19:00 BST. While it’s not the same as meeting in a physical space, this event does give us all a chance to see and hear contributors and editors  (and readers!) from around the world.

Tickets are limited so you’ll need to register to ensure a place – just follow this link. We hope to see you there!
