
Richard Smyth
is a writer and critic. His essays on nature-writing have appeared in the Times Literature Supplement and New Humanist, and he reviews for the TLS, New Statesman and Literary Review. His award-winning short fiction has also been widely published. His most recent book, a non-fiction study of birdsong and culture, is A Sweet, Wild Note (Elliott & Thompson, 2017). He lives in Bradford.
